About the Statue: "From Start to Finish"

Our community horse, beautifully titled "From Start to Finish," captures the timeless spirit of Kentucky thoroughbred racing. Sponsored by Studio A Louisville (the official aviation-grade clear coat sponsor) and proudly displayed at our dealership, this life-sized masterpiece brings the history of the track to life through stunning, hand-painted details.

The Artistry & Design

Created by lifelong local artist Monica Barnett, the statue tells a story across its canvas using a classic, old-fashioned color palette of rich creams, deep browns, and bold blacks:

       
  • The Left Side: Features a nostalgic, pastoral Kentucky scene showcasing a majestic mare and her foal, complete with a historically significant date, 1875, elegantly detailed.

  • The Right Side: Shifts to high-stakes action, capturing a dramatic close-up of a reaching thoroughbred alongside a full portrait of a jockey and horse charging toward victory.

  • The Finishing Touches: Adoring the legs of the statue are bright red roses, symbolizing a thoroughbred's journey from a young foal to an adult racing champion.
